Doug is a character in the Hatchetfield Universe. They work as a cop for the HFPD and feature in the The Guy Who Didn't Like Musicals and Jane's A Car. They are played by Mariah Rose Faith Casillas.

The Guy Who Didn't Like Musicals[]
Doug's arrival is announced in TGWDLM by police sirens whilst Paul and his friends are hiding in an alleyway. Paul and Ted's bickering over the Latte Hottay is interrupted by the sirens, and Charlotte informs everyone that she called her husband Sam to help, seeing as he's a police officer. However, after Sam enters (followed by Doug and Robert's Hatchetfield Cop) he falls deaf to Charlotte's cries that everyone's gone crazy and breaks into Show Me Your Hands. For most of the song Doug acts as a backup dancer and singer, generally assaulting Paul and his friends, but at one point they get a message over their radio telling them that Kathy has lost her cat in a tree. Sam reminds them to tell Kathy to contact Fire, not the HFPD. The trio of cops again reiterate that they are cops before Doug announces the cat is dead. Not long after, when Sam breaks out his megaphone and Robert's Hatchetfield Cop begins to make impressive siren noises, Doug begins issuing various orders. Later they tell Robert's Hatchetfield Cop that his wife is calling. They're asked "what the bitch wants" and relate she just wants a snug. The song continues until Ted hits Sam over the head with a trash lid and knocks him out. Charlotte then picks up her husband's gun and points it at the other two cops, and shouts at them to stay back and just leave them alone. Both cops raise their arms in the air and wave them about as they make turkey noises and run away.
Jane's A Car[]
Doug appears at the hospital following Tom hitting Becky with his car. They wake up who they believe to be Becky Barnes and attempt to comfort her, revealing that Tom Houston had a complete mental breakdown and was taken into police custody. At Jane posing as Becky's questioning, they reveal Tom's car has been taken to the dump.

Trivia[]
- Doug's pronouns (they/them) and gender identity (non-binary) were confirmed on a post on Mariah's Instagram which featured her backstage in costume as Alice and Doug.
- In the YouTube version of the show, Robert Manion accidentally sang the line "What the bitch want, Sarge" instead of the written lyrics, "What the bitch want, Doug" which lead to confusion among fans about Doug's canon name. You can find the corrected lyrics in the official cast recording of Show Me Your Hands.
- Mariah headcanons that Doug and Alice Woodward meet after The Smoke Club gets caught, resulting in Alice and Doug bonding after realizing they have the same phone case.
- In a now deleted post made on October 22nd announcing their appearance in Jane's A Car, Mariah posted a selfie as Doug captioned "if you watch @therealteamstarkid NIGHTMARE TIME you may see a glimpse of an old friend"
- While discussing headcanons about her characters Mariah said that Doug has adopted 5 rescue dogs that they attempted to foster but ended up keeping[1]. She later released a thread with pictures and descriptions of the dogs that she think they would have from dogs available to adopt in LA:
