Eric Kahn Gale (born January 6) is an American writer, director, actor and performer based in Chicago. He is best known for this work with American musical theatre company Team StarKid.
Early Life and Education[]
Eric was born and grew up in Michigan. He attended the University of Michigan where he studied theater.
Work[]
Eric has written a large number of children's books: Professor Birthday Isn't Famous, The Wizard's Dog, The Wizard's Dog Fetches the Grail, The Zoo at the Edge of the World and The Bully Book (which has been translated into a number of languages). He also often visits schools where he does speaking engagements, writing workshops, author visits, Zoom presentations and more.
Eric is also the creator of the Professor Birthday TikTok channel and the Professor Birthday Isn't Famous podcast.
StarKid Productions[]
In 2007, Eric collaboration with the Lang Brothers to write and direct the pre-StarKid web series Little White Lie. He also appeared in the series as Hunkytonk #3. Eric later went on to collaborate with the Lang Brothers on both Me and My Dick and Twisted: The Untold Story of a Royal Vizier and is currently co-writing Tomb Quest. Eric has also served in a number of crew roles acting as Assistant Director for Me and My Dick and a camera operator for both Twisted and The Trail to Oregon!..
Eric made his StarKid on-stage acting debut in A Very Potter Senior Year where he appeared as Wizard Cop. He then went on to appear in Ani: A Parody. He also featured in A Very StarKid Reunion.

Personal Life[]
Eric currently resides in Chicago with his wife Jade, their dog Pika and their son Ezra. He also has a sister named Alyssa Kahn Gale and she's married to fellow Starkid member, Clark Baxtresser.
