Kimberly Michelle "Kim" Whalen (born February 27) is an American, actress, singer and performer. She is best known for her work with American musical theatre company Team StarKid. She is married to fellow StarKid Curt Mega.
Early Life and Education[]
Kim was born and grew up in Dallas, Texas. Her first musical was Oklahoma. In 2008, Kim met her husband, Curt Mega, while they were performing in Light at the Piazza at Theatre Three Mainstage in Dallas. Kim began her studies at the acclaimed Quad C Theatre program.
Work[]
Kim made her professional acting debut in the 2004 video short "Then Hereafter." However, she truly developed her passion for film after appearing as Mrs. Brown in the Oscar-nominated 2011 film The Tree of Life.
Kim has since appeared in numerous TV series, including playing the role of Glamour Kitty in Austin and Ally, Ava Winthrop in Being Mary Jane, Kim in It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, and Wellsie in The Black Dagger Brotherhood. In addition to this, Kim has appeared in several movies, including The Naughty List of Mr. Scrooge (2024), Aliens on Halloween (2021), and Dead Men (2018).
She has also appeared in numerous short films, including Privacy, Drone, and Family Photo. She has also featured in several projects directed by her husband, Curt Mega. These include appearances in the short film "Tinder Lovin'" and his feature-length directorial debut, "The Nameless."
Kim's theatre credits include playing Louisa in the 50th anniversary year of The Fantasticks at the Snapple Theatre Center on Broadway and Eliza Doolittle in My Fair Lady at Irving Arts Center's Carpenter Hall.
Kim has also featured in a wide array of StarKid Adjacent projects. She featured in all three Shitty Broadway cabaret shows: Shitty Broadway, Spoopy Broadway, and A Very Shitty Broadway Christmas, as well as appearing as Ramona Trousers in Shipwrecked Comedy's web series Headless: A Sleepy Hollow Story. Kim also features as Sia in Matt Dahan's radio-musical series, Pulp Musicals.
StarKid Productions[]
Kim made her Starkid debut as Becky Barnes in Black Friday, the second musical in the Hatchetfield Series. She has since gone on to appear in a further two StarKid musicals, appearing in Nerdy Prudes Must Die and Cinderella's Castle.
Kim has also appeared in a wide array of other StarKid projects. She featured in both seasons of the web series Nightmare Time, reprising her role as Becky Barnes and debuting the character of Miss Holloway. Additionally, Kim appeared in the short film Workin' Boys. Kim also served as co-director and co-producer of the SK Labs series Space Baby, in which she also appeared as characters such as Ruthy.
Kim also joined StarKid on The StarKid Jangle Ball Holiday Tour.

Personal Life[]
Kim currently lives in Los Angeles, California with her husband Curt Mega. The couple have two cats named Linus and Lucy. Kim also enjoys gardening which she posts updates about on her Instagram.
