Lauren Walker is an American actor, writer, stand-up comedian, singer and performer based in Chicago. She is best known for her work with American musical theatre Team StarKid.
Early Life and Education[]
Lauren was born and grew up in Chicago. She studied at iO, The Annoyance and the Second City Training Center. Lauren was also a member of the Bob Curry Fellowship program at the Second City Training Center.
Work[]
Lauren has featured in a wide range of theatre and sketch comedy pieces. She has served as an Ensemble member and writer for The Second City Touring Co. alongside featuring and writing a number of Second City sketch performances such as She The People and Black and White News. She has also done a large amount of work with The Annoyance Theater featuring and writing in sketch comedy shows such as Strapped In and Dark Matter.
Lauren has also featured in a number of TV series and movies. She featured as Agnes in Dazzling Cool Cat Jones as well as featuring as Agnes in the series Office Cat. She also featured as herself in the TV movie The Improv Guru.
Lauren has featured as The Recruit in the podcast In These Cleats by Megawatt Productions. She also wrote and performed in the 2021 ViacomCBS Showcase. She has also written for Book of Queer (for which she was nominated for an Emmy), RuPaul's Drag Race, American Auto and South Side.
Lauren currently works as a stand-up comedian and writer in Chicago.
StarKid Productions[]
Lauren made her Starkid debut in Firebringer. She appeared as Molag as well as appearing as Snarl and Trunkell. This was Lauren's only show with the company.
Lauren returned to StarKid to perform in the 10-year anniversary concert, StarKid Homecoming. She featured in the Firebringer medley.
