Lumber Axe the Mad Woodsman also known as Jerry is a character in the Hatchetfield Universe. He is the son of Girl Jeri and Boy Jerry. He features in Abstinence Camp and is mentioned in The Hatchetfield Ape-Man. He is played by a puppet controlled by Nick Lang.

The Hatchetfield Ape-Man[]
While reporting on cryptids that live in Witchwood Forest, Donna Daggit mentions Lumber Axe alongside Willabella Muckwab the muck witch and Chumby the Hatchetfield Ape-Man.
Abstinence Camp[]
Lumber Axe is first mentioned by Gabe when the campers are gathered around telling ghost stories. He talks about how Lumber Axe kills those who don't abstain. Later that night, Gabe goes into the arts and crafts pavilion where he begins to get himself off. He is found by Lumber Axe who kills him and turns him into wallets.
The next day, Steph and Pete attempt to test the theory of Lumber Axe by showering together. This awakens Lumber Axe who goes and stands outside the shower block ready to hit the duo but before they can combine into one shower they are stopped by Boy Jerry and Girl Jeri. Later that day, Noah and Mary go into the woods and kiss but are found by Lumber Axe who kills them, chops their bodies into logs and leaves them inside the camp directors office.
After discovering Mary and Noah's bodies in the camp directors office, Grace runs in the woods chased by Girl Jeri. When she finally catches up to Grace, Girl Jeri tries to explain how she had Girl Jeri when she was a teenager and as he was born outside of wedlock she raised him with Boy Jerry in the woods but due to Witchwood Forests magic her son grew up fast and big and different. Jerry and Jeri tried to raise Lumber Axe learning the importance of abstinence but he took the lessons too far and once they gave him the axe for him to chop firewood he began to use it to kill people.
After sharing a kiss, Steph and Pete are chased through the woods by Lumber Axe who is egged on by his father, Jerry. Despite their attempts to fight him, Lumber Axe eventually catches up to them and is about to kill them when Grace Chasity steps in between them. She tells Lumber Axe about how she's the biggest prude he'd ever meet (making her impossible for him to kill without breaking his moral code) before pointing out that his parents: Jerry and Jeri had sex outside of marriage. Lumber Axe becomes enraged and kills both his parents before handing Grace the axe and leaving.
Later as Grace looks after Camp Idontwannabang and ensures the camp stays abstinent, Lumber Axe watches on happy that his woods are finally clean.
Personality and Traits[]
Lumber Axe is a very resolute and murderous person. He holds very strong beliefs in the importance of staying abstinent and believes that these beliefs should also be held by everyone else. Lumber Axe is quick to anger, killing those who don't remain abstinent. Despite this, Lumber Axe is also very fair refusing to kill those who he doesn't believe deserve to be killed.

Boy Jerry[]
Boy Jerry was Lumber Axe's father and had the responsibility of burying his victims. When realising the illegitimacy of his birth, Lumber Axe eventually killed his father.

Girl Jeri[]
Girl Jeri is the mother of Lumber Axe or 'Lil Jerry'. The result of a scandalous teen pregnancy, Lumber Axe was raised in the woods where his two parents taught him the importance of staying abstinent. He took these lessons to heart and eventually went on to murder campers who didn't stay abstinent much to the horror of his parents. Following this, they attempted to cover up Lumber Axe's murders burying his victims in the woods. Lumber Axe eventually kills his mother after realising she had sex outside of marriage.

Grace Chasity[]
Grace Chasity is Lumber Axe's friend and ally. After stepping in between Lumber Axe and Steph and Pete, the two came to an understanding as Lumber Axe refused to kill her. The two share very similar religious beliefs, including that you shouldn't have sex before you're married. Lumber Axe trusts Grace with his axe and she is able to run Camp Idontwannabang alone and under her leadership, his woods become clean once more.
