She first appears when she's visited by her granddaugter Zoey Chambers. When Zoey tells her that Zach is in a relationship with a man, Mima responds by cutting him out of her will.
Zoey is later blackmailed by Linda Monroe, who threatens to show Mima incriminating pictures of Zoey smoking weed and having an affair with a married man, which would cause Zoey to be written out of Mima's will, and thus lose her inheritance. Sam comes up with the idea to make Linda lose her leverage by killing Mima. He uses being a cop to get into Mima's room at night and mixes up her many medications, causing her to pass away in her sleep.
