Airing on Channel 9, the Morning Hatchetfield News is the local news program for the town of Hatchetfield. It is hosted by Dan Reynolds and Donna Daggit.
The Guy Who Didn't Like Musicals[]
The show features twice in The Guy Who Didn't Like Musicals. The show initially appears as it is being watched by Paul Matthews as he readies for work the morning after the meteor fell. In the show Dan and Donna are discussing the kickstarter campaign being started by Ed to fund a squirrel house being made for Peanut the Hatchetfield Pocket Squirrel. The show then goes on to discuss the meteor that fell into the Starlight Theater the night before but are cut off by Paul turning off the TV.
The show later reappears being watched by Professor Hidgens saying that the apotheosis is no cause for alarm for Hatchetfield citizens but they are encouraged to stay inside. Hidgens actively interacts and yells at the program as he watches it.
Black Friday[]
Dan and Donna appear in the Black Friday announcement trailer discussing the brand new Tickle-Me Wiggly dolls that are getting released in Toy Zone stores on black friday.
The Hatchetfield Ape-man[]
Hatchetfield Morning News appears in the Hatchetfield Ape-man when Donna is interviewing Duchess Lucy Stockworth about her encounter with Chumby. Donna also mentions two other Hatchetfield cryptids: Willabella Muckwab, the muck witch and Lumber Axe, the mad woodsman.

Hatchetfield Morning Cup O' News appears in the song Peanuts! where Dan and Donna sing about Peanuts the Hatchetfield Pocket Squirrel.
The Witch In The Web[]
The program is shown to be being watched by Pamela Foster, due to her crush on Dan Reynolds. Dan and Donna discuss the upcoming Hatchetfield Honey Festival as well as the pumpkins popping up around town for the celebration of Halloween.
Honey Queen[]
Morning Cup O' News is playing on the Monroe's TV, and Dan appears to talk about how it's almost time for the annual Hatchetfield Honey Festival.
