Summary[]
Perky's Buds[]
It's finally happened. Emma Perkins has her pot farm... and it's glorious. The only problem? Those checkered-tail nighthawks that keep eating her weed! As the Hatchetfield Honey Festival approaches, Emma and her farmhand/graphic designer, Ziggs, fight to protect Perky's Buds from malevolent forces who'll stop at nothing to destroy the farm... or claim it for their own.
Abstinence Camp[]
Some kids dread it. Others look forward to it all year. That's right... Abstinence Camp. Where Hatchetfield's youth are sent to "Just. Say. No!" When nerdy prude Grace Chasity inadvertently starts a rumour about cool & popular Steph Lauter, the two find themselves stuck together for the summer. Along with a cast of kooky counselors and fellow campers, they discover the terrible secret of these woods. That something... or someone watches over them. Someone who punishes those who do not abstain. Someone who lumbers. Someone... with an axe!
Development[]
The episode was written by Nick and Matt Lang and contains the stories Perky's Buds and Abstinence Camp. Abstinence Camp was originally conceptualised as a sequel to Nerdy Prudes Must Die entitled Horny Campers Must Die but was later rethought as a Nightmare Time 2 story. Jon Matteson revealed on a Twitch stream that he would have a song in the series, this song eventually ended up being Virginity Rocks. Auditions for the episode were opened to the cast with Mariah Rose Faith Casillas auditioning for the role of Bob Metzger[1] but the role ultimately went to Dylan Saunders. After the character of Ziggs was mentioned in Watcher World, Jae Hughes messaged Nick Lang on Instagram asking for an opportunity to audition. After much correspondence and an audition, Jae was cast as Ziggs. Filming for the episode took place using Riverside.[2] The episode featured four songs which were written by Jeff Blim. Nick Lang directed the episode with the music video for Perky's Buds being directed by Joey Richter, the video for Axe Man being directed by Curt Mega and the video for Virginity Rocks being directed by Lauren Lopez.
