Ollie Wood is a British musician, drummer, and performer based in London. He appeared in the band for I Can't Believe It's Been A Little Less Than A Year.
Early Life and Education[]
Ollie took his first drum lesson at the age of 8 and gave his first public performance the year later. He attended Trinity College London where he achieved a Level 7 Fellowship Diploma in Drum Kit Performance. He also attended a semester at Berklee College of Music. Ollie is currently studying for a PHD in Music from the University of Surrey.
Work[]
Ollie currently works as a freelance session drummer. He made his West End debut in 2023 performing drums for Anne Get Your Gun at the London Palladium. He has since gone on to to perform at the London Palladium for a number of performances including Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Bare and Side Show.
Ollie has also played in a number of concerts across the world. He served in the band for The Reunion's Chinese Tour as well as touring across Europe with ITV’s Starstruck winner Rachael Hawnt. He also played drums for BBC Radio 1’s Live in Halifax with Eden Rain. Ollie also played drums for the Tin Can Brother's Spies are Forever concert in London.
As well as live performance, he has recorded drums at Damon Albarn’s Studio 13 and worked on drum tracks for Universal Production Music. Ollie has also done drum transcriptions for companies such as Apple, Moises, Eloy Casagrande (Slipknot), Thomas Lang (Paul Gilbert), and Hasmon Abraham II (Nas).
