Proma Khosla is a former crew member for Team StarKid. She served most prominently as assistant stage manager for A Very Potter Sequel.
Early Life and Education[]
Proma attended the University of Michigan and graduated with a BA in Communication and Media Studies.[1] While at Michigan she was a member of many societies and activities such as Indian American Student Association , Michigan Manzil, The Michigan Daily, Basement Arts and Arts Ambassadors.
Work[]
Proma works as a writer and dancer as well as a director, producer and comic. [2] Proma has worked in a variety of editorial positions writing for Mashable, Vanity Fair, Glamour, Teen Vogue, Decider and Brown Girl Magazine.[3] She currently works full time as a Senior TV Writer for IndieWire.[1]
Proma is a co-founder of Lion Party Films, a production company run almost entirely by South Asian women. Through this company she writes, directs and occasionally performs.
Alongside Radhika Menon, Proma is also a part of PromRad, a Broad City-esque duo embarking on NYC adventures- written, directed and performed by the duo. She also has been performing standup comedy since 2017.[4]
Proma is also skilled in dancing having trained in the contemporary style of Uday Shankar and Bharatanatyam, including an Arangetram in 2010. Proma was a part of the inaugural roster of Aluminati, an alumni dance team, has worked with Aatma Performing Arts, and performed and taught for three years with Ajna Dance. Currently, Proma dances with Exodus Artistry and Noor Dance Academy, as well as the touring production Bollywood Boulevard since its Lincoln Center debut. She has performed at Danza in Fiera in Italy, America's Got Talent, Good Morning America, the NBA, and more.[5]

Proma served as Light Board Operator for Me and My Dick as well as serving as assistant stage manager for A Very Potter Sequel and as run crew for A Very Potter Senior Year. Proma returned to StarKid to serve as a production associate StarKid Homecoming.
Personal Life[]
Proma speaks a wide range of languages including Bengali and Hindi. Proma has a deep love of the Harry Potter series and has been attending annual conventions since 2006. After spending time as a volunteer coordinator at LeakyCon, she now attend as a guest and speaker, part of the LeakyCon brain trust that advises about convention details in the planning stage.[6]
