Killer Track[]

Rose first appears alongside her band Needy Beast who are doing their set at The Slaughtered Pig. Later, they are backstage when they are approached by Kale who argues with Rose's band member Thrash. After the band leaves for Denny's, Rose introduces herself to Kale and the two go to his van, while there Kale tells Rose about the Killer Track and how it kills anyone who listens to it. Rose then listens to the track.

A week later, after being called in due to a incident at Guitar Zone, Duke Keane visits Rose's Home and visits Rose in her room. Rose tells him about how she listened to the Killer Track and how she believes it's going to kill her that night. She thinks Duke will think she's crazy but he provides evidence that she's right and offers to help her.

Duke takes Rose to Miss Retro's just as it's closing and there they meet Miss Holloway. Rose is reluctant to believe that Miss Holloway can help her but after Miss Holloway uses her powers to control Rose's mind she agrees to let her help. Using the Black Book, Miss Holloway siphons some of the energy of Tinky and puts herself in Rose's body in the past listening to the Killer Track instead of her.

After awakening from the ritual, Miss Holloway, Duke and Rose clear the diner of anything that could make noise hoping to save Miss Holloway's life. However, Duke and Rose stay with her and she hears the track coming from their voice boxes. Miss Holloway is tortured by the music and tries to stop the track by attacking Duke but stops herself before she hurts him. Eventually the track peaks and Miss Holloway dies.

After calling an ambulance for Miss Holloway, Duke takes Rose home. Rose is upset about Miss Holloway's death and apologizes to Duke. Duke tells her that there was no way Miss Holloway would have let her die and Rose realizes that Duke loves the woman.

A few days later, Rose and Needy Beast are preparing to play at the festival when Skud points out Kale sneaking behind the back of the vendor booths. Rose follows him and finds him in the audio control tent having knocked out the audio guy, Rose tries to stop him as Kale begs her to but ultimately he plays the Killer Track anyway. After losing her memories due to Miss Holloway playing a song from her past, Rose shouts at Duke that Kale is going to play the track and the man grabs Kale's phone and smashes it, killing the boy. Rose watches and is impressed.

Personality and Traits[]

On the surface, Rose appears to have a very tough exterior and to not care about anything. She acts very hardcore and 'metal' and often breaks the rules in the aim of aspiring to be punk. Rose often hides her true self and feelings in order to come off as cool and tough which can lead to her making irrational decisions, especially when it's implied she's scared. However, Rose's edgy demeanor acts somewhat like a defense mechanism and underneath she generally comes across as a young girl trying to find and explore her place in the world. She is unwilling to trust people and usually expects them to let her down and as a result she uses her hardcore and tough demeanor to hide her real emotions to keep people at arms length. Rose actually has a lot of interest in many different things and once she trusts someone she is happy to talk excitedly about these things and to show her real emotions to them.
