The Church of the Starry Children is a cult that exists within the Hatchetfield Universe. They actively worship the Lords in Black, more specifically Nibbly. They are made up of some of the richest and most powerful people in Hatchetfield. The Church is based in Witchwood Forest. The Church is mentioned in Honey Queen, Daddy and Nerdy Prudes Must Die.

History[]

The church was founded by Agatha and Mathias Waylon. The Waylon's and their church used the power of the Lords in Black to rule the town for 150 years.

Every year since 1945, the Church of the Starry Children has hosted the Honey Festival in the town of Hatchetfield. The center of the festival is the Honey Queen Pageant, in which women vie to be crowned Honey Queen. The winner is crowned as she is the one who wanted it the most, she was the hungriest. After her coronation, the Honey Queen is taken to the woods, where the Church has collected a mound of pig carcasses. The Church chants, and the carcasses form to create the body of Nibbly. He then eats the Honey Queen. In return for this, Nibbly grants the members of the church wealth and power. The Honey Queen in the year 2020 was Linda Monroe.

One member of the Church of the Starry Children, Mr. Young had access to the Black Book, he used the incantations from the book to keep himself and his wife young. One night in 1979, the Church was attacked by The Hatchetmen during a meeting at Waylon Hall. Every member of the church was killed, and the Black Book was lost.
