Will Branner (born September 9, 1993) is an American actor, singer, director and performer. He is best known for his work on Back to the Future: The Musical and American Musical Theatre company Team StarKid.
Early Life and Education[]
Will was born and raised in Charlotte, North Carolina. His first role was in third grade as an Oompa Loompa in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. He attended the University of Michigan where he graduated in 2016 with a BFA in Musical Theatre.
Work[]
Will has featured in a large number of theatrical productions. He featured in the Off-Broadway production of Kragtar: An American Monster Musical as well as appearing in the National Tours of Mean Girls, and in Bat Out Of Hell: The Musical, both on Tour and at New York City Center. He has also featured in a number of regional theatre productions such as appearing as Tony in West Side Story at Barrington Stage, Pepper in Mamma Mia! at PCLO and Al in a Chorus Line at Summer Repertory Theatre amongst others. He has also featured in a number of TV and Film productions such as The Monkey's Paw and Present Day. Will made his Broadway debut in the ensemble of Back to the Future: The Musical on June 30, 2023 and left August 25, 2024. He is currently in Deaf West Theatre’s American Idiot, debuting October 2, 2024.
Alongside this, Will has also worked as a personal trainer, health coach and rescue scuba diver.

Will made his StarKid debut in the role of Max Jägerman in Nerdy Prudes Must Die. He returned to the company to appears as Professor Hidgens in The Guy Who Didn't Like Musicals: Reprised!
